Once again, California legislators are trying to prevent charter schools from doing what they do best – serving those students who don’t flourish in a traditional school model. A recent editorial gives a quick overview of how Assembly Bill 84, introduced by Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi, would be very bad for education.

During his February announcement that he’s running for California’s superintendent of public instruction, Assembly member Al Muratsuchi, D- Los Angeles, vowed to “fight to defend our schools and our students” against attacks on public education from the Trump administration.
