Lifelong Learning Participates on ALEC’s Education Panel

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), one of the country’s largest nonpartisan organization of state legislators, gathered on July 28, 2022 to discuss the state of education.

Lifelong Learning’s Skip Hansen, president, was invited to join a panel, with Dr. Alveda King, activist, author and former Georgia state representative, the former U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and Aimee Guidera, secretary of education for Virginia. The panel, hosted by Michelle Harvey, Lifelong Learning vice-president of Expansion and Innovation and ALEC education taskforce chair, discussed the need for personalized, flexible learning, and parents voice in educational decisions that impact students.
